Do we need an appointment to shop the Bridal Collection at The Kit Vintage?
We kindly ask that all brides schedule a bridal appointment to shop and try on our full vintage bridal collection.
While a selection of vintage bridal gowns is available to browse in-store during regular business hours, many of our bridal pieces are reserved exclusively for scheduled appointments and may not be available on the sales floor. If a gown is designated as a "Bridal Appointment" or "Try-On Appointment Only" dress, an appointment is required to view and try on that piece.
How do I make a private bridal and/or shopping appointment with The Kit Vintage?
Easy! Head straight over to our website and click on “Appointments”
Why do we offer bridal appointments if we have a store?
Unlike traditional bridal salons, we specialize in one-of-a-kind vintage wedding dresses. Many of our gowns are rare pieces dating from the 1930s through the early 2000s and cannot be replaced once sold.
Our appointment-based approach helps preserve the condition and integrity of these special garments by limiting unnecessary handling and excessive try-ons. This allows us to maintain the quality of each gown while providing brides with a more personalized and thoughtful shopping experience.
When you visit The Kit Vintage for a bridal appointment, you can feel confident that the gowns have been carefully preserved, professionally cared for, and thoughtfully curated for brides seeking something truly unique.
You will also get one one on attention by our Owner and Curator, Robyn Goldberg, which allows for time to feel into each gown together, and to have time to go over any tailoring that will need attention.
How far in advance do we need to book a bridal appointment at TKV?
We ask that bridal appointments be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Our appointment calendar is updated in real time, and available appointment slots can only be reserved up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
If you do not see your preferred date or time available, it may be because it falls within the 24-hour booking window. We recommend scheduling your appointment as early as possible to ensure the best selection of available times.
Our bridal appointments are designed to provide each bride with a personalized shopping experience and access to our carefully curated collection of one-of-a-kind vintage wedding dresses. Booking in advance allows us to properly prepare for your visit and ensure that your appointment runs smoothly.
If you have questions about scheduling or need assistance finding an appointment time, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
How much is it to book an appointment at TKV?
The Kit Vintage offers private, one-hour bridal appointments for a non-refundable fee of $150.
This appointment fee reserves dedicated time with our team and provides access to our carefully curated collection of one-of-a-kind vintage wedding dresses. Because our gowns are unique pieces spanning multiple decades and many are not available for general in-store browsing, appointments allow brides to receive a personalized shopping experience focused on finding the perfect dress.
Please note that the $150 appointment fee is non-refundable and does not apply toward the purchase of a gown.
Are vintage wedding dresses sustainable?
Yes! Vintage wedding dresses are one of the most sustainable choices a bride can make.
At The Kit Vintage, every wedding dress in our collection is an authentic vintage piece that has been thoughtfully preserved and given a second life. Rather than purchasing a newly manufactured gown, our brides choose from one-of-a-kind dresses dating from the 1930s through the early 2000s, reducing the demand for new production and helping extend the life cycle of beautifully made garments. Each dress in our collection has its own history. Many came directly from their original owners and have been carefully loved and cared for before finding their way to The Kit Vintage. We continue preserving their history by passing down the provenance of each gown and matching them with brides who appreciate their craftsmanship, character, and timeless beauty.
Choosing a vintage wedding dress is not only a sustainable fashion choice—it is also an opportunity to wear something truly unique. By giving a vintage gown a new chapter, you become part of its story while helping reduce waste and celebrate the artistry of garments that were made to last for generations. For brides seeking a sustainable, one-of-a-kind wedding dress in Los Angeles, vintage bridal is a beautiful way to celebrate both individuality and conscious consumption. We offer, sustainability, exclusivity, and luxury
Where can I find a vintage mother-of-the-bride dress?
The Kit Vintage specializes in vintage special occasion and eventwear, making us a destination for mothers of the bride seeking a unique and elegant look for the wedding day.
Our curated collection includes vintage mother-of-the-bride dresses, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns spanning multiple decades and styles.
