About Robyn, the Eye Behind The Edit

I’ve been obsessed with vintage since the moment I discovered my first pair of perfectly broken-in Levi’s at the age of 15. From then on, every trip became a treasure hunt — searching for rare pieces that were self expressive, carried history and character. For every party, event, or night - I wanted to feel like the most confident version of myself, vintage was my answer. It still is. Wearing something truly one-of-a-kind allows us to show up exactly as we feel — to stand out without ever saying a word.

My career began in New York City as a fashion editor in 2000.  Working in Fashion Editorial for major magazines. Twenty years in the world of high fashion taught me the power of exceptional craftsmanship, the art of personal style, and what it means to create a moment. Ultimately, my heart brought me back to where it all started: vintage — the most sustainable, expressive, and enduring form of fashion.

Today, I curate luxury vintage bridal, special occasion wear, and designer pieces from prestigious fashion houses to no name vintage spanning the 1930s through the 1990s, sourcing globally for clients across Los Angeles, New York, and throughout the U.S. I’m passionate about showing modern women how incredible it feels to wear something that no one else has — and how vintage design continues to stand the test of time.

The Kit Vintage shares a beautiful brick-and-mortar space in Los Angeles with my husband, Larry Platt of Platt Boutique Jewelry — his world-renowned antique and vintage fine jewelry perfectly complements our collection of elegant, one-of-a-kind fashion.
